    American Heart Month

    Honor children and families impacted by congenital heart disease, pediatric cardiac conditions, transplantation, and lifelong cardiac care — including Maiya's own heart journey.

      Family-centered storytelling featuring children living with congenital heart disease and the caregivers walking with them.

    • Family Education & Advocacy

      Plain-language explainers, advocacy resources, and community engagement on pediatric cardiac care.

    • National Donor Day — February 14, 2026

      A day to focus on all types of donation — organ, eye, tissue, blood, platelets and marrow — through blood/marrow drives and donor registration events. We also pause to appreciate donors and loved ones who have given the gift of life, those who have received a donation, those currently waiting, and those who did not receive an organ in time.

    National Kidney Awareness Month

    Raise awareness of kidney disease, dialysis, and the urgent need for living and deceased kidney donors — especially within communities of color where rates of kidney disease and transplant wait times are highest.

      Plain-language resources on kidney disease prevention, dialysis realities, and the lifesaving difference a kidney transplant can make.

      Stories and education centered on living kidney donation and the families it changes forever.

    National Donate Life Month

    An entire month encouraging Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and honoring those who have saved lives through the gift of donation. Drive donor registration, encourage family conversations, and honor donors and recipients through visible community engagement.

    • Donate Life Living Donor Day — April 1, 2026

      Thank all living donors for their lifesaving generosity. Share Donate Life Living Donor Day social graphics throughout your community.

    • Blue & Green Spirit Week — April 4–11, 2026

      Each day leading up to Blue & Green Day carries a special theme — recognizing donors, volunteers, and healthcare heroes; giving hope to those waiting; and engaging the public in fun at-home activities.

    • National Donate Life Blue & Green Day — April 10, 2026

      Wear blue and green, share the Donate Life message, and promote the importance of registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor.

    • National Pediatric Transplant Week — April 19–25, 2026

      Focused on ending the pediatric transplant waiting list. Clinical partners share innovative work and patient stories; donor families whose children have saved and healed lives through donation are honored; recipient families share thanks and celebrate milestones. In partnership with DLA, AST, ASTS, and Transplant Families.

    • Blue & Green Awareness Campaign

      Social engagement, awareness apparel, community photos, and public lighting moments throughout the month.

    • Hope in Motion 5K & Family Walk — Signature Event

      Signature

      5K run/walk, family walk, survivor recognition, memorial tribute area, community resource fair, and sponsor engagement. Every step creates hope.

    Caregiver Strength Campaign

    Recognize and support parents, guardians, grandparents, and caregivers who advocate for children facing complex medical challenges.

    Maiya's Legacy Celebration & School Supply Giveaway

    Honor Maiya's life through service, generosity, and community. Families gather for a community picnic while children receive backpacks and school supplies to start the year ready.

    August 31 — Anniversary of Maiya's Passing

    National Minority Donor Awareness Month

    Honor donor heroes, transplant recipients, heart warriors, and families navigating medical journeys while raising awareness of organ, eye, and tissue donation in multicultural communities.

    • Candlelight Walk for Hope & Healing — Signature Event

      Signature

      Candlelight procession, tribute wall, donor hero recognition, recipient stories, family remembrance ceremony, music and reflection, and community healing activities. Love continues beyond loss. Hope continues through giving.

    Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month

    Educate, advocate, and increase awareness of congenital heart disease and the lifelong challenges faced by heart warriors and their families.

      Signature

      Mission impact presentation, family testimonials, sponsor recognition, awards and honors, silent auction, and fund-a-need campaign. From Maiya's Legacy to a Movement of Hope.

    National Family Caregivers Month

    Honor parents, grandparents, siblings, and caregivers who provide physical, emotional, financial, and logistical support during serious illness, transplantation, hospice care, and grief.

      Recognition, encouragement, and wellness resources for the family members standing in the gap day after day.

    • Parent Mentor Stories

      First-person reflections from caregivers who've walked the transplant, illness, and loss journey.

    Faith-centered awareness weekend

    National Donor Sabbath

    A faith-rooted observance uniting churches, donor families, transplant recipients, and healthcare professionals to reflect on the gift of life and encourage organ, eye, and tissue donation conversations in our communities.

      Sermons, reflections, and church partnerships exploring faith and organ donation, legacy through giving, and community reflection.

    • Donor Family & Recipient Stories

      First-person testimony from donor families and transplant recipients carrying the message of hope and healing forward.

    Season of Hope Giving Campaign

    Year-end fundraising and impact campaign highlighting organizational accomplishments, family stories, donor recognition, and future goals. Together, we create hope for families who need it most.

    • Year-in-Review Impact

      Storytelling series and impact report recapping the families served and milestones reached.

    • Children's Hospice Care Packages

      Comfort items, blankets, journals, and encouragement cards delivered to pediatric hospice patients and families.
